G'day all,

After months of pestering I finally took one of my young nephews out on the boat for a fishing session. Locked in the date before I checked any forecasts so the 20kt SE made it a lot of fun and perfect fishing conditions........ Not! We decided to hit the river and for the first time in about two years I was bait fishing, using live yabbies, mostly because I don't think my life insurance covers sharing a boat with a ten year old flicking lures!

After attempting to battle it out around the walls near the mouth we were forced to head upstream to find some protection from the wind. Eventually we started to put together a decent bag of mostly bream, a lot of unders but also a few solid keepers. It was actually a lot of fun getting back into the bread & butter bait fishing again and the young fella had a ball and is already trying to line up another trip. Posted a couple of pics of the young fella with some of his haul because I promised him I would.
