I'm toying with the idea of spending a few days down a t Yamba around Easter, I've fished the river in the old tinny, but am interested in off shore as the bar looks pretty good.

I'm not looking for anyones GPS spots, but some general info such as how far out are the reefs, structure and what is the Bar like in various conditions, would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Glenn

Try Yamba Bait & Tackle - these guys know their stuff. Great help. There are several good spots inside the river, but bear in mind that it is a huge estuary system and the currents can be very strong. Angourie point is a good spot for Tailor etc around the rocks.

Thanks Guys

Looks like good action not to far to Nth and Sth. Just need to sort the crew and hopefully the weather gods will smile upon us.

Cheers

Went on a charter last month. He took me to good reef 12 miles Nth of the bar, 2-3 m offshore. Plenty of fish. Bar seemed good, but the weather was calm.

The tackle shops will steer you right. The one in the main st near all the shops seemed the best.

Cervelo, mate im not much use in regards to gps marks, but if you need a deckie, im available all holidays (with the exception of work)
If you run short of deckies, just drop me a pm or something before you leave?
