Are there any pippies in the Yeppoon area that can obtained, caught, dug, found from any of the beaches in this area? I see lots of shells on the beaches but where can I actually find some pippies. How do I dig/find them? Is there a maximum number that can be taken?

Don't know where they would be up there, but getting them once found is easy. Just stand at a spot where the tide is lapping at your feet and start doing the twist!! twist your feet side to side and they will dig in. When you feel something hard it is usually a pipi. You can see people doing the pipi dance all the way down the beach on North Straddy.

No pippies up there that are bigger than 8mm across. Beach worms can be pulled on Farnborough Beach( from " The Dunes" up to the mouth of Fishing Creek, Nine Mile Beach, 5 Rocks Beach and north to Island Head that I know of. The odd one used to be caught at Shelleys Beach, Emu Park but very few and far between. Also get them on Great Keppel and North Keppel Islands. Yabbies are the easiest bait to access in CQ.
