Hey all.

Gotta take a mate of mine fishing for her first time, and was thinking of going up to Bribie Island for the morning to chase some whiting.

Will be landbased and will be taking worms or pumping yabbies (Plus I'm sure there might be some plastics somewhere ::)).

Am thinking of getting the permit to drive on the beach too, so can access other areas if needed. Plus that way if she gets overly bored (how dare she!) there are other options around...

Have never really fished Bribie, so any help anyone can give would be GREATLY appreciated!

Cheers All,

Dan

hey why dont u try the passage just in front of cornetts shopping centre with worm ur worst enemy there is the weed so pick a good day on the right tide( when its coming in) they usually come on for about an hour and these are decent whiting some real elbow slappers while you waiting for the whiting chuck on a placcy and there is some very decent flatties round there any way mate good luck

As fish said or at Buckleys hole should have some. If you do go up the surf beach, just find a good gutter and you should be right if not move on to another one.

Cheers, Mick.

The southern end of Woorim isn't bad sometimes. Nice swimming if the fish aren't on too.

Thanks all :)

Hopefully can get her onto some fish! If not, should still be a good day.
