A skate of about 100kg in 3 foot of water while trying for flatties with 6lb leader and 12lb braid, the fight lasted about 30 minutes with the skate going around in circles wondering what the hell the tickle in the corner of its mouth was, when he got sick of going around in circles he just give a couple of graceful flaps and my leader broke with me saying aint that about time. What suprised me was the pressure you can put in fine gear for that amount of time.
cheers

Still aiming higher but a 65cm Snapper is still my biggest on a placcie. Have had some unstoppables loads of times though. Brother outdid me with an 80+ cm model using one of my placcies. :-X

14 pound coral trout on 10 pound braid would have been some of the best reef warfare ive had, have hooked a 800 pound groper at the swains group on a 6 inch ecogear shad. (for the record the fight lasted bout 15 seconds.)

This is one is not the biggest on S.P. but the sort of fish you can catch. This one went 6kg have caught bigger, over 10kg on 6lb braid 25lb flurocarbon leader and 3/8 5.0 jig head.
The Threadie on the left (150cm) on 10lb Braid and 20lb Fluro with 1/4 3/0 jighead...
AND
The S/Mack in the attached pic below on 8lb Braid and 16lb Fluro with 1/8 3/0 jighead...

The wierdest (not the biggest) fish for me on plastics so far was a ludrick !!!
Sucked in a 4 in worm just behind a weed bed while flicking for flatties ... (2lb)

I'm still very much a plastics amateur, but my best catches on SP's so far are a 45cm aussie Bass and a 38cm Bream.;D

My best fish on sp is a 8.5kg fingermark from lucinda sugar loader. Caught on a squidgee fish 150mm, 20 pound fireline and 40 pound leader. Don't have pic of that one on the computer. The one in the attached pic went 7.5kg and 80cm, same gear but it was on a white storm sp.
