Timddo, there is a fantastic article on trolling methodology by Peter Pakula on his website www.pakula.com.au (http://www.pakula.com.au)
Go into the site index, then go to Articles and Entertainment, then into Trolling Articles, or Rigging Notes if you need that. All worth a read, I reacon.
A great resource, full of priceless info, well worth a look IMHO.
Cheers.

depends on what your trolling for and how many lines your trolling..
if 4..... 60m 40m 20m 50m
if 3...... 50m 20m 35m
if 2....... 55-45m 25-30m
if 1....... 10 to 60m

This is just my guideline peoples opinions vary.

it all depends what your trolling bait, hexie, knonnahead, hardbodied
as long as your lure isn't poping out too often and its swimming ok , making the right bubble trail.... you can do whatever within reason
