Hit my spot x this afternoon, right on high tide, chasing anything really. Plenty of bait fish around and after a few casts noticed a surface chop. So threw my lure right on it and didn't even get to whind and got smashed. Nice little Jack made it to shore, after a bit of a struggle, he went 37cm. Sun was starting to set and just before I left had a couple more flicks and managed a nice little Gt for my troubles, went bout the same size. Not a bad little afternoon session. both fish were caught on Rapala Husky Jerk.

well done gone,
you seem to be encontering some quality fish lately,

a couple of questions for you mate,

how do u find the husky jerk compares with say a gold bomber?
also how do u find these spot x's ive been trying for jacks the last few weeks and still no joy, the odd bust off and some other species but cant crack the redfish.

cheers,

Ben

How's it goin yellahunter. Mate the answer to your first question is, in my opinion, there is not much difference between the husky and the bomber. Where I am fishing at the moment there is a bit of water flowing, after the rain, and I'm finding the husky tends to swim a bit better than the bomber so maybe it is a tad heavier. Also I'm finding I have a bit more control with it in the flowing water instead of the bomber, have had some trouble with the bomber swimming on it's side sometimes. Answer to your second question, mate I have lived on the gold coast for 25years and the spots I used to haunt when I was a kid are still producing.
