Hi all, I was watching A Current Affair tonight 7/3/07 and was moved by the story of a couple of fishermen who were at their favourite spot when they were visited by a whale shark. A rare encounter indeed but then they realized that there was rope caught up around its dorsel fin so they actually dived into the water and cut the rope away which took a half an hour. Was all caught on video and it was almost as if the whale shark knew it was being helped and once it was free from the rope it swam off lifting its huge tail in the air as if it was waving. One of the nicest things I have seen to date. Well done to the guys that helped it.
