If you want to get some fish, i would fish near the snags in the logan.

If you have a look and spend some time there you will get some fish, but its one of those places you really need to know whats going on to get a feed.

Where are you putting in and what areas are you fishing?

What's happening in the Logan?

That's a bit like asking the Mayor of Blackall what's happening in Blackall.

"Fu......Er, I mean, not very much"

Sorry - just couldn't resist;D ;D

Hi I was thinking about going that way myself on sunday morining for a nice day session. As for castnetting all i can say is cast any where and you should get some good herring prawns and mullet.
By the way just wondering where you pump your yabbies from?
Cheers Jpart

I would think you would not go down the Logan without a cast net, the prawns should start their annual migration soon. Try around the bend at Lagoon Island or The main channel red markers opposite Long Island. Whenever I want Yabbies, I come out of the mouth of the Logan and turn right after the leads, go under the powerlines aiming for the channel south of Russell Island. This channel takes you through to Canaipa passage, but the bank on the left at the 1st leads never fails to produce.

I normally get the yabbies just as you come out to the redland bay channel on the left hand side, I'm at slacks creek and if fishing the river normally put it at skinners park but if I'm heading out to the pin I'll put in at vmr jacob's well. I have never throwen the cast net in the river (worried about snagg's), might go down tomorrow (if the wife let's the lesh off )

cheers Chris.
