Paradise point jetty

Hi guys,
Im trying to find a good land based fishing spot and sighted the jetty at paradise point the other day. Does anyone fish there? Catch or seen good fish caught there? best baits for the area? If so i may give it a go. Cheers

Hey Moorie,
I used to fish up that way when I was living up there a while ago now. The land based fishing back then was fairly average but if you can hire a tinny it did improve. There is a large sandbank between Ephraim Is and paradise point which was of for yabbies and floating around there wasnt too bad. Good flatties could be found occasionaly as well as trevally and bream and the odd whiting.

nugget's website's fishing report made a remark about ephraim is, the southern end I think, could be worth a try.

Landbased fishing's a bit lame up here, if you can get into renting a tinny you're well ahead I guess. My guess is that you'd first want to invest in a portable fishfinder, otherwise you'll be buzzfarting around the estuaries hoping for the best.
