Hello all,

Headed out to mud island this morning with a mate who has a boat;D , left nudgee ck at 5.30am and it was a a little bit bumpy, but made it across to my first time spot:D .

Fished on the eastern side of mud and after a couple of drifts trying different techniques, FINALLY got my first squire on a sp;D it was only a little one bout 25cms, released him and he put up a little fight::) . also lost one big hit:o hopefully a bigger squire, set for another drift and i am on again only a little rosy whiptail (think thats what they are called)??. started to get a bit choppy so we came in to the rock wall at the mouth of brissy river, then my mate caught a school mackerel on a sp for his first time as well;D .

Then to top it off something big hits my reel zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and after 5 mins thinking it was a mackerel, well what do you know a b%^&%^ big cat fish, it was my biggest yet>:( !!!!!

Anyway thats my story and sorry no pics not worth bragging about lol8-)

Cheers

Heath

Oh yeah! It's going to put a hole in the budget now as it's very addictive! Gosh, i was even speaking with Berkley direct today about a particular SP that's not imported to Aus anymore - and 12 months ago i hadn't touched an SP! I'm just signing my money away but i'll say one thing - IT IS DAMN REWARDING when you get it right!

Good luck and take care - T
