Hi,
Is anyone on the Coast actually fishing bullsharks?. I wouldnt mind trying myself just for fun, meaning i would release the fish. What is good bait and where are the "hot spots". cheers

Heard second hand from a well known local fishing identity that the best spot is under the Monaco St bridge using live trevally with a nick cut into their tail. Foolproof apparnetly.

As above, and near the causway at Bond Uni. There is a guy who was catching them from his unit on the water. The guy was living on the 5th floor or something!!
Do a search for bull sharks and you will find a mountain of info.
Also, Bream are brilliant bait for them. But I like to eat bream so mullet/trevors are what I'd use.

The seaway at night with whole or fillet of mullet, we get a few about 2foot.
we don't mainly fish for them, their just by catch I suppose.

Why release the mongrels... they are bloody aggressive and growing in numbers.

Yep! Not as good as black tip or shovellies though (IMHO).
