Hi all, I took the girls (no. 2 daughter 7yo and girlfriend) for a run in the passage looking for some new X spots and to flick some sp's... Hey Bates, found a new spot;) !!
no. 2 daughter had picked out some new gulps the day before;D .. we sounded around until we found some nice looking bottom and started the drift... Hal's was having problems handling the 6'6 rod i had set up for her so I handed over my 5'4 Loomis :-/ which she looked more comfortable with,, wounder why lol!!
second cast ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz she was on with what looked to be a good fish.. After a good 5 min fight we had colour, 1 min later she had boated her first 38 cm squire and dad was thinking he had just lost 1 of his rods to the daughter "o why the Loomis" :'( Next it was my turn;D and up comes a another 38 c squire.. poor Su was not having much luck as i was on again with a 41 cm squire coming up to the top.. It all went quite after that.. So off to another spot to try for some bream or flaties.. Now it was Su's turn Zzzzzzzzz, 3 min's later there was a 50 cm flatie beside the boat and not be out done Hal's pulled a 39 cm flatie in min's later... We pulled the pin not long after that as both girls were over the moon... a pic of Hayley's squire

Hi Candogu,

It is great to see you taking the girls out and sharing your time with them and a great fish as well.

May I just highlight that the Life Jacket is most probably far too big for her and that it is not compliant with the latest styles. Just a hint not only to stop the fine but also to give your daughter the best chance possible of surviving in the unlikely event that she was pulled over by a big fish.

thanks Frank OO for info.. Her Life Jacket was way to hot at rest, so i pop her in 1 of the larger 1's which was way cooler for her... Will have to look at new Life Jacket's for the kid's with these new laws...

Brent,,, that aslo means i can go buy another rod for myself;D
