I'm a student here from the US for 5 months. I've done TONS of fishing in Canada for walleye and have done some sea-fishing off the coasts of Florida, but nothing too intense, no more than a days outting. Would LOVE to go out and do some Aussie fishing :) If any one has any recommendations of good fishing charters that I could find at a good price (I'm on a student's budget) please e-mail me and let me know 8-)

Try including a bit more info. Do you have your own transport or someone willing to drive you? How far are you willing to travel? Do you have any of your own gear? Good luck, I'm sure someone can put you onto some great aussie fish.

Not sure I like dobbing people in but I am going to do it anyway...lol
If you look up in the members list for Frank OO and send him a PM. He is my uncle and there is no better coach to teach you some great Aussie fishing skills. He has a nice boat and leaves from Bribie Island. He works in the city itself from his business and never needs an excuse to go out. Tell him that I sent you. Very pleasant and easy going. Here is a photo of him from the last trip that I went out with him and this is the sort of fish you could expect to catch. He has more rods and reels than you can poke a stick at so if you don't have your own gear he will provide.

Regards,

Poodroo

You don't have to swim from Wello! You can walk back to shore from there...
