brother and i (Lee) had our RDO and heading up to toorbul. where we meet up with a mate (Troy) who had taken and annual leave day to join us.
put the boats in around 4 and headed off. first stop wa Elimbah Creek where Troy had a few pots to check, we then checked out a few more spots before heading to the hut, i landed a 36cm estuary cod and lee a Moses perch with a load of catfish as well.
we moved around a few more times with only a few rays and eels to show for it.
back at the boat ramp at 1.30 where we pulled the boats in and headed to Troys parents house for a few hrs sleep.
back on the water at 5 with with a few bream and a flathead putting in a show to keep us entertained. before moving onto the mouth Bullock creek, the call was made to move to Glass house mountain, to have a look around. where i landed a small bream and a 3ft shoval nose shark. Lee was busted off a few times. before heading to check to pots again on the way to the boat ramp.
end result 8 sand crabs, 1 esturay cod, 1 moses perch, 6 bream and 1 flathead, 2 new spots found and 1 great time that was had by all.
looking at going back up that way for the next RDO, but this time we will be putting the boats in up the northern end of the passage just to spent a few days just looking around to found our selfs a few more spots x.
