Howdy, was fishing at Mud this morning and caught 5 nice Squire 1@50, 2@46,2@41. That was ok but i was hit 3 times buy unstoppables which i chased to recover line. I was using 3inch Nuclear Chicken Gulps and each time i actually hooked fish which at first i thought were large Snapper but could not stop them. One chase lasted 35mins and i could not raise it to even have a look. If they were sharks i would expect biteoffs or a half eaten snapper head to at least look at. I'm thinking mabee large tuna. I'm using quality gear & am experienced fisho but this has got me buggerd. Your thoughts would be much appreciated.:o

Occasional you'll foul hook the odd ray that can be rpetty damn hard to move on the lighter gear, but 3 in one trip sounds very unlikely. Maybe tuna or trevs slugging it out down deep?

BARUP, interesting because we actually had the Mackerel at the surface for a good part of it even though he did dive deep every now and again! Not sure but perhaps it may have been some sort of pelagics...

You did well on those Snap's though - didn't nail one all morning with the exception perhaps of the one i lost when i had my drag too loose!

Have a look in Reports Estuary and see what T1 caught at Mud today.

You never know Barup, you might of had a big Spaniard hooked up as well!
