Hey all,

Just bought myself a yabby pump but I'm having trouble getting plenty of suction when using it. On the instructions it says something about adjusting one of the screws to gain more suction but i'm not too sure which one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers!

Raol at the bottom of the pump there's a wing nut that needs to be tightend so it squashes the rubber washer and creates more suction. Loosen it when in storage so it prolonges the life of the washer.

gday mate,

the screw that you are talking about is located on the bottom of the pump ( inside the end of the cylinder and you can see it when the pump handle is fully down ) and if you cant get enough suction it means it's too loose so just tighten her up and you should be good to go. if that doesnt work , the seal and screw could be faulty.

All of the above however back it off after a trip out and re-tighten before using it again.

I have found that pumping just water when you are finished getting yabs is better than leaving it muddy until you get back to wash it .....
