Ducked out of work early on Friday and decided that rain or no rain I was going for a quick fish in the passage. Bloody glad I did as it was beautiful, the water was like glass, the sun came out and even the mossies stayed away. The fishing was pretty good too with one 71cm flattie (released after a quick photo) and a few bream - also got busted off by something pretty large which my lightish gear had no chance of stopping (next time I go I'll have to remember to bring out the big guns ;) )
Packed up just on dark and by then there wasn't another boat on the water - guess most people were put off by the weather.

I was out at sparrows today to see if their were any lizards about. Figured all the fresh might have them near the mouth but no such luck. Managed a zzzzzzz bling to something very toothy chasing surface fish. Worked the system fairly good for only the one fish up near the powerboat club. Very very quiet.

Nice solid flatty there mate, they seem to be getting a bit more consistent recently. Did you get them on SP's mate?

Nice work mate, good to see someone dragging some good fish out of the passage. What do you think the toothy thing was gunna? Tailor?
