Has anyone taken the leap of faith and purchased the new Blue Rose Jigging Rod from Shimano. Had it my hands yesterday and feels and looks impressive.

This is Shimano's foray into the top market bracket. Mid $700's for these babies....:'( :'( :'(
So do you think there as good as the Saltiga's

Both very similar. Difference in the price. Shimano can hold a heavier line....
Nothing in it but would like to speak to someone who has used the Shimano before taking the plunge.

I bought a blue rose last year and christened it with a 25Kg king on the first drop! It bends beautifully to ca. 90 and keeps a nice constant pressure on the fish. Needless to say I'm very happy with my purchase.
I also played a smaller fish on the saltiga and the feel was very very similar, the only difference being that the daiwa is a tad stiffer and copes better with heavier jigs.
My two cents.
