Maroon - 22/2/07

G'day all,

I was out at Maroon this morning and wondering if anyone knows if the dam has turned over recently. I haven't been out there for a while and noticed heaps of weed and algae floating on the surface and clarity pretty murky. Or is the remnants of Ski lice damage from Xmas and New Years.

BTW - One of my first ducks at Maroon, a few bumps but that's all. Threw everything at em, SP's, hard bodies spinnerbaits, poppers early on and even trolling. Oh well, there always next time.

I was at Maroon last Sunday with my 11 year old. The dam does look a bit murky but I don't think its turned over.

We caught 1/2 dozen fish using small spinnerbait (Beetle Spins) up behind the new island. We will be going again this Sunday afternoon. This time we will stay one and throw some surface lures.

PLEASE would love to know how any one is going as friends are suppose to be fishing here 3rd and 4th of march and dont want them to make trip for nothing..cheers bdowdy
