Howdy devocean. Got a few of these guys left after buying a heap many years ago. Brought them at the tackle warehouse in coorparoo (brisbane). Not sure as to whether they are still in production or not. The few i have left are 75mm and the 100mm version.

C lures used to be produced in Cooktown in the late 80's , early 90's . " The Lure Shop" at Cooktown used to stock heaps of their Lures and would probably know where to get them from these days( if they are still available ).

Cheers !!!

picking up from hooknose C-Lures were then sold to Dom Fry on the sunny coast and recently sold to Tacspo. They've upgraded the lures somewhat. shapes remain the same but they've added a 1-piece internal wire structure like a tilsan. The barra pro model is one of my favourite lures for chasing jacks and barra in the estuaries. lures in the above pics must very quite old as even when they were still being made in cooktown years ago they switched to clear polycarbonate bibs. due to where they originated from they were always a common fixture on NQ shop lure walls and i can't see that changing.

Hey Dan, C Lures are now made in Cooroy. You can get them at Davo's in Noosaville. ph # 5449 8099.

The C-Lures are still available.
However as Wheezer said they are not locally made in Cooroy anymore and Tacspo have now bought them and are doing a reasonable job making them.
They struggled with the colours initially and had real problems with the metallic gold.It was more a real dull gold and did not look good at all....they seemed to have now fixed this and the lures look good.
As wheezer said the c-lures 'Jack Snack' and 'Barra Pro' are both gun lures.

They are available at Tackleworld stores.
If you struggle to finds them PM me and I can tell you where to get them.

Cheers
Pete

Still got a couple with metal bibs lying around. THink the "C" was for Carl from memory. ???Carl Grist?? rings a bell. Or maybe it was C for cooktown. The few I've got a real shallow divers and they've got a pretty good action when you work them really slow.

The C was indeed for Carl Grist who started the brand while in Cooktown.

Don't forget the "jack snack". They are similar to the reidies "little lucifer" and work great.
