gday was out on the perch last nite and my mate snapped my favourite rod. it is a shakespere graphite 2 piece 7 foot long. it is snapped about 1 foot from the tip. Just wondering my options as to repair or source another tip.. i think the model is a catera... thanks guys

another tip is a piece of cake, BUT a foot can make a lot of difference to the action of a rod, but you may get away with it, just take it to your local tackle shop and let them provide a tip, might even glue it on for you for free, most do.

Photo would help, but doesn't sound to good. There are ways to fix 1 foot but it is a lot of work.

found out that they dont make this rod anymore and no front ends for it.. not sure wat to do ...

I have repaired a rod tip that i broke. What i did was i got a piece of another old rod that was broken and cut a section about 60 mm long that fit over where the break was and glued it with 24hr araldite have had no probs. If it was a section down further where there is more load on could be a problem but you should be sweet.
