Yes its sand, the queenies are so silver they trick the cameras sensors in bright sunlight, making anythin else seem real dark.

actually it was 12lb yo-zuri hybrid leader, 8lb fireline, same thing, trick of the llight i think

These fish are not mine, but both my brothers, who have caught Northern Bluefin Tuna of 105cm and 100cm respectively, on Squidgey slick rigs in the 140mm(?) size. Both were caught Sept 2006 in the Whitsunday region. The bigger tuna was captured casting off the rocks into 10-12m of water, and both fish ate the squidgeys on the drop......

the mangrove jack went 55cm. came from the canal at pottsville the day after a flood had nearly gone through the homes in the background. the water in the pic was still about 1.5mtr higher than the biggest high tides. took a 3" berkly pogy (the prerigged type) and was a first for my new rod and reel combo......3rd cast.

cheers, roo.

Some good photos amongst those.
Nice cobe brandon....i havent got a cobe on SP yet although I have had some chances when they have been at the back of the boat....
The temptation of floating a pillie on their nose always seems to get the better of me.....;D
