How easy is it for them to escape from the dam? If there was a flood would they get out?

Cheers, Mick.

They could get out i live just up the road if the fence breaks or they could get out a gap maybe . My uncle and dad had been fishing in the river for about 40 years and early on there were some Barra in there and you would hear stories how true i don t know . Some of the blokes i work with say they have caught one once or twice very elusive by all accounts.

cheers liz

A mate of mine ten years ago was adamant they come down that far. he was a gov. researcher on the barra breeding prog, and so as odd as it sounded to me..what do I know?
Around the same time, I heard a pretty convincing rumor a couple blokes took thousands of excess stock and let them go "closer to home". Not me, that's for sure.
The rumor involved them releasing them at spots along the coast like Mooroochy, and others. Mind you, the stories of people catching them there already did exist.
