Lateral reel movement

Hi,

Just picked up a "cheap" Penn Marina/Captiva combo and noticed that there is a lot of lateral movement with the reel regardless of how tight the reel seat is....any suggestions to add more support?(Eg. Adding a plastic tie?)

Take a piece of rubber from a tire inner-tube and place between the reel seat and the cleats on the reel base before you tighten it down. It should help to tighten up the seating a bit. You can also try electrical tape. Wind it around the reel seat in the middle and then put the reel on and tighten it down.
