Which is better of the two Penn baitcasters?

Wondering which baitcaster is better for barra. Erskine Signature or the penn Ixorne?

What about the Penn enforcers are they any good for barra?

they are both beaut reels but i would probably lean 2wards the ersko as jack had these specificaly designed for big impoundment barra. the enforcer is a bit more of a trolling live baiting reel being a bit to heavy to cast lures with all day. hope this helps some way be interesting to hear others input on the subject.

I'd agree, the Erskine model has had some useful tweaks added, so I'd go that way. Definatley go the low profile option if your gonna cast all day long.

I have just purchased 2 of the Erskine reels second hand for Barra fishing as backup reels so I hope they are up to the job. I performed some test cast in the back yard and they seem to do the job quite well but the proof will be if a big barra on the reel.

I've got a shimano curado at the moment and is fantastic. needed a good priced reel for my younger brother so he will get the signature.

G'Day Zimbarra, Ive got a couple of these reels 1 set up for Lenthalls and the other for Monduran, Excellent Reels for the price and more than capable of stopping Barra, they are fitted with Carbontec drag washers off the shelf and are rated at about 8kgs of Drag, My Monduran setup is fitted to a Penn Pinpoint Tournament 56BCXXH Rod and my Lenthalls setup is fitted to a Shimano Barra Magnum both very capable of doing the job, Well the certainly have been so far, Hopes this helps ,Cheers Whitto :D :D
