G'day Heaney.
I've only fished it a few times and that was about 5 years ago, but caught some good bass out of it when we were there.
The dam is electric only and the ranger doesn't take kindly to folk with outboards still bolted to the transom.
I think there's a $5 launch fee too.
We've only ever fished the bay to the left of the boat ramp and cast or trolled deep diving lures.
The lures that were successful for us were Mann's 20+, McGrath diver, bass Masta and deep hotlips.
The fish we've caught there were one golden at 3 kg, a few bass from 300 - 480mm (I bet they're much bigger there now!) and an eel-tailed cattie on a McGrath.
I reckon you'd have to be there first or last light to be in with a shot with the surface gear and most likely during warm weather when the bugs are out.
Maybe someone will be able o give you more up-to-date info on the lake.
Hope this helps a little.
Cheers, Slates
