Tomorrow marks the start of cod keeping season again after three months of closure for breeding . we can only pray that people are starting to get the message to limit their catch not catch their limit... :-/ don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with some fresh cod in the pan, but when you hear of groups of 25 cowboys with miles of river choked with set lines , all taking home 5 cod and 10 yellas each , it turns my stomach. hey fellas you can only eat so much fish >:( >:(

I know what you mean mate I have pulled up gill nets and handed them into fisheries myself. From Eastern Cod Waters. These are a totally protected species. Fishermen like that are the SCUM that give us ALL a bad name.
