Despite the fact I'm in SEQld I went Rainbow trout.
The reason being - sighting the fish first in crystal clear water - having a good enough cast to get him interested. The dancing the leaping - the beautiful colours when they come out. Looking around at the majestic setting you've caught the fish in - then to cap it off a fantastic feed with a bottle of chilled white.
Rainbow trout is more like and experience than a fish. It gets in your blood.

Mines the often mis-understood Sooty. These things will chase/harrass other fish for sport. Will let you know in seconds if your terminal tackle is up to standard and can be caught at all times of the day. Next to the coal grunter i think they can be one the prettiest fish in the fresh.
