Bait fishing for Bass

Does anyone have a bait for Bass that the ugly carp will not touch.

Grasshoppers have worked for me in the past, but sometimes the carp get the taste of them and thats the end.

i use sand crickets out of my lawn using soapy water to get them.they work pretty well.
