freshwater in townsville??

I would like to know if anyone knows any other freshwater spots in townsville besides for the ross, and, if not then how do i fish the ross where, when, and what with.

Go over to the Tackle Warehouse and ask for Shane, he is a freshwater man or try Higgos and ask for Richard Brown.

Both these guys are very friendly and willing to share information.

It amazes me that you would say to avoid Shane, Geez the bloke writes for community magazines, compares a fishing show on community radio, involved with Sunfish, fishstocking etc.

and he has fished the local Freshwater areas of Townsville and has caught some fantastic fish.

Go see Shane and listen to what he has to say

The reason that i said avoid Shane was not because i don't like the guy, it's because once you get him talking it's hard to get him to stop.

Talk to Shane in the Tackle wharehouse he knows his stuff, that's one hell of a cracker Jp he caught.
If you think Shane in the Tackle wharehouse in Townsville can talk , you'll have to meet Shane in the Cairns Tackle wharehouse shop..
he'll chew your ear off. ;)... all the good info though.
