WINTER FISHING - M. COD ETC

Cany anyone advise me on what is the best time of day to fish for Murray Cod/Yellowbelly during the winter months and what are the best lures and/or bait to use.

i have found late arvo to be the best time for cod on lures. mainly big RMG's and stumpjumpers go off and some home made lures also work at this time of day. spinnerbaits get hit pretty hard in the mornings at first light. going into cod country this weekend to use these techniques.

For bait i've used bardi grubs in the late afternoons and shrimp in the morning and they go pretty well

went fishing a week ago. only got 1 cod on a spinnerbait early in the morning. maybee the beer had something to do with not many fish.
