G'day all,
Great board you guys have operating here!!! I've got a question about freshwater eels, it's a pretty simple one to start with. Can anyone tell me some gun spots to pull a few big freshwater eels from in the Brisbane(QLD) area? I don't mind travelling and am keen to vary my spots. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks in advance, James Harmon

The creek running into bbc at toowong used to keep me occupied back in the 80s, Pulled a few bigguns out of jindalee golf course between shots as well ;D What do you do with the eels James.

ive caught a few big eels in the indooroopilly reaches of the Brisbane river from a little pontoon under the Walter taylor bridge. You will only catch 1 every 10 or so catties you catch

Hey Mackmauler,
Mate, these eels make some of the best shark bait available. In fact, hard to beat in my book. Thanks for your advice. What does bbc stand for?
Cheers, James

Id check out any golf courses that flow into the river, most of the holes as in creek holes ;) should have resident eels. Ive seen eel traps at several golf courses.
