fishing tournements

I was wondering if any one knows of dates that fishing tournements are held around the tamworth region?
AND do you have to be in a fishing club to enter any of the tournements.

have a look in QFM magazine... they have dates of alot of fishing comps around the place. not sure if its all of australia though! maybe check out the NSW version if they dont.

If so, you should talk to Dean at Tamworth tackle for what's on round the traps, or join one of the fishing clubs, there is a lot of interclub rivalry and w'end comps. Kerri's club, Nemingha hotel, would be the best one in town and as far as i'm aware, the only club that actually rewards catch and release ;) :D.
Some good lure comps around the area too, but tends to be little advertising surrounding em.
