Theres a river of water running into Maroon. Went up the crik on the leccy & there was whirlpools around the trees. Ended up being too fast for the leccy so I used the outboard. Got around the first left hander to see some serious rapids running. Water is the color of mud up the top. Good to look up into the mountains to see a couple of waterfalls running.

Ran into local guide Harry Watson at the ramp & he recons its risen by 2 meters in 2 days.

I did it tough but got a few rat bass and finished with a couple of low 40cm ones late arvo. Silver perch are rising everywhere & there's floating logs & weed all over the shop. Whole trees are down in the basin floating around. Hope a ski boat rips its keel out on one. Might slow em down for a while I hope.

Fitzy..

Has any one been to Moogerah, I would think it would be in the same state as Maroon.
The Comp tomorrow at Maroon, will sure be a major slog to land decent fish.

Caveman,
It is still on if your interested?

I spoke to my mate up in stanthorpe last week, he's back from townsville, He spend a couple of months in each town as his mrs lectures at James Cook Uni.

I think after easter is looking the goods.

I haven't been that way since I spoke to you last time. I'll keep you posted if you are still keen.

Ray.
