just wondering who's going to fish the lake monduran fishing classic

I'll be there and hopefully with the family. Last year was the first I fished Monduran comp and thoroughly enjoyed it. If this year is half as good I'll be stoked. I won a lucky prize draw of cap and sticker even though I didn't catch any huge prize-winning fish but just the weekend away with a whole bunch of like-minded people was great.
I'll be in the tent with three screaming kids and a matching wife ! ;)
Going to meet up with a mate there and sink a few rums for old times sake.

From Brisbane head north for about 4 hours top GinGin, the turn off for Lake Monduran is a further 20 kms north of GinGin.

Dropped in for a driving break some 3 weeks ago. Water was still a bit cool but looked nice and clear.

It's a big dam with heaps of timber. A lot of barra fishing is done by casting in the timbered areas - not light line territory.

Heaps of camping places and a nice set of facilities.

If anyone needs any infromation on the Monduran comp give us a call at the office at Lake Monduran, Jackie or myself will help you out with any questions about the comp, camping, facilities etc. Office hours are from 10am to 5pm 7 days a week.Looks like its going to be another great comp this year with over $15,000 in prizes and giveaways.

Well, I'm all ready to head down on Friday afternoon. My wife and 3 sons coming along for the trip. We're all keen for a good weekend away and god knows we need it. Anyone else heading to the comp, I hope it's a great weekend but does anyone have any bets on the weather?. Doesn't sound too fishy from what I saw today :(
