Have been to Peter Faust Dam a few times with no luck dont really do to much freshwater but wouldnt mind giing it a go during the closures up here. Can anyone give me advice on optimum conditions eg day/night, warm weather/cold weather water temps ect

I have only fished Peter Faust Dam once (caught and released a nice Sooty about 6 lb) but from what I have read similar rules apply to northern dams as to the southern dams.
Moonphases - I always like to fish 2-3 days before or after fall of new or full moon. Preference is new moon.
Barometer - to plaguerise a wheel heeled saying over 1020 - fish aplenty always is a good rule of thumb.
And in winter time fish - "Bank" Hours - 10am - 2pm and in summertime fish anytime but those times.
Give that a go for a start
Cheers
