Hi,
I have been lucky to catch some great bass in the wild and in dams, last week i caught a fish that gave me the most pleasure of them all.It went about 25cm.What makes this the best?
A small crystal clear creek comes down through NP and state forest and behind my place.I was returning from my bee yard, stopped on the concrete causway to test an old handmade lure. Hooked the little fella on about second cast.
I was standing next to the car so i was able to reach my video .Its no Rex Hunt episode but i got it.Ive always known this little creek holds bass but no one fishes it,no great access.
Im exited because this is a little creek that runs past my backdoor, old lure, caught on video and a wild fish. Its about location and the simple things, size does not matter . ;D

Thanks

yeh need to agree
some of my better fish have come from either home made lures or in places that were just worth the effort to be there let alone get a fish
some early mornings when the bass are hitting surface lures on the small creeks in a kayak i just need to pinch myself to remember that it is real and not a dream ;D

I agree too Fishbloke. it's times like these the make us love fishing so much. I hope you have many more such times in your little stream with your own lures.
