Repost as topic lost.

Can anyone share any tips for fishing Pindari Dam in the winter? I am thinking of heading there on the June long weekend.

Issues like upper or lower dam reaches fish best at this time of year? Depths in winter where fish hang? Bait vs Lures? Fishing times - not so important to fish early or late? Even recommendations on the best personal internal antifreeze welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Mate,
We went up there one winter years ago and it was -8 degrees over night.
Make sure youve got plenty ov" Bundaberg"antifreeze and lots ov warm clothes.
Heard recently there were a few silvers on the chew and a coupla yellas.
Good Luck

Great place to camp as long as you camp up river away from the camping area. Lots more fish up river too.
Make sure to take along your BRASS MONKEY :o :'(

My missus and I camped there one winter without a tent , just a swag, the wife woke up with frost on her eyebrows. I couldnt help but to laugh at her and yes she still goes camping with me

Thanks for the help guys,
Looks like I will rug up, try the back of the dam and apply liberal amounts of antifreeze internally. Hopefully the receipe for a good (long) weekend!
