G'Day Fellas
Heading to Cressy on Thursday (weather permitting)......
Anyone had any luck on the Bass or Yellas there recently? ???
Will be predominantly targetting them with SPs and Hardbodies, but will be drownin' worms while we drift also. ;) ;)
Any feedback will be appreciated! Thanx ;D

Hi SquareBear,
best of luck if your'e still going tommorow. Haven't been there for a while so make sure you post a report. Weather report says a top of 17 degress and 22km winds. Not as bad as Sunday just gone though.

I was up there sunday week ago got a couple of bass out of a school in the middle on shrimp. went exploring and tried the weedy edges with various lures and poppers (still learning this type of fishing) for no result. Peter

G'Day Fellas!
Well, the weather was wild and woolly last night in Toowoomba, so was unsure how we would go today. As it turned out, the morning was a corker! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] Dam was flat-as-a-tack, and the water (although a little low) was crystal clear. Started off with small Shimano bibless 55s and soft plastics. Dropped one good bass at the boat, then landed two in succession.
Drifted around for a while until we came across a good school, and snagged another 5 very quickly on bait (shrimp and small yabbies). Caught fish sporadically throughout the balance of the day (1230-ish). Total for the day was 11 bass. Smallest keeper = 32cm, and biggest one = 40cm. ;) ;)
All fish were caught in less than 15 feet of water, particularly around submerged timber and weed banks. Little Shimano 55 worked like a champion ... may have finally found a cheaper alternative to my favourite Jackall! ;D ;D
Hope to see you out on the water one day Kev!

mate I'm yet to be convinced with sp's, but sounds as though you had a awesome day, :D haven't been out for a while, but maybe sunday if the whether holds and can rangle it, might see if I can get hold of some of these Shimano 55's. cheers mate.
