Apparantly Albert and Logan River systems are full of them.
That's about all I know on the topic.
Perhaps give Carp Busters a ring and they can provide you with a list of places to fish etc.
I believe they can be contacted thru the Rathdowney Hotel on PH: 5544 1121
I think in the past there have been some posts on this subject also. Perhaps wade thru the past posts for some info also.
Hope this helps

Take the first right south of the Rathdowney pub. Road crosses the river (upper reaches of the Logan I think) in plenty of spots.
For some absolute horses you need to head over the border. Wilsons Creek through the Koonyum range has got plenty but its rank with snakes and the resident ferals are not to friendly especially if you stumble onto a harvestable patch

Check the QDPI Fisheries web site www.dpi.qld.gov.au/fishweb - its illegal to have them in your possession dead or alive. Goin West is spot on when he says they have to be destroyed on capture.
Provided you are willing to bump them off, there are carp in the Albert River up stream of the Stanmore Road at Luscombe
