Hey krause69,

I have good luck with Squidgies in the natural colours like Gary Glitter, and Jelly Prawn in the 3" size.

I have caught bass on them as well as a Trevally.

My friend exclive has caught a 50 cm yella at maroon and bass and as well as Flat head at the coast.

So they are a all round soft plastic.

Yeah same with Slider Grubs in the 3" size they have landed me many a bass but also a couple of flathead in the salt.

Good Luck

hey krause,
my favorite bass lures would have to be heddon tiny torpedos, heddon crazy crawlers, arbogast jitterbugs, rmg poltergeist scorpions and night walkers, rapala taildancer and skitterpop, PREDATEK SPADDLER, kokoda spinnerbaits, squidgy spinnerbaits, river-2-sea buggi, kokoda bugga chugs.... and the list go's on but they would probably be my favorites.

Dave

hey krause
I fish somerset a bit and i find the 'little rippers' in plain colours and black work well, but if you realy want to get amonst them then you must have a couple of 'ice jigs' in your box. you have to locate a good school with your sounder first but oce you do they go mad over them. I dont know how they go in the salt water but, never tried them :-? :-? :-?other bibed lures that work are SMAK in purple and brown and ridge backs. it is also worth trying some soft plastics when you find a school. ;) ;) ;) ;)

One of everything. It's the only way to be sure. Purple smak lures go well as do their spinnerbaits.

mate ive used smak brolgas on yellas and they wok well,
we didnt have much success on the purple but the yellow/chartreuese ones worked well, this was in kinda murky water though,
ive heard that the blitz bagas and golden child is a good lure too mate

well krause they will set you back about $300 dollars a pop. but if u are looking for diving lures i would seriously consider a thong with a lead weight attatched to the front as that will dive to about 7 meters. just rap a bit of wire around with some 6/0 hooks and you will have no warries catching bass. i would also consider a brick trolled behind ur boat because they have caught me plenty a bass.... my mate landed a 39KG bass using that method.

cheers and good luck mate

Yeah bricks can work a treat just troll it then go back and pick up all the fish floating on the surface.

yeah mate, helped me take out the AFC earlier this year. if u have a motor over 30hp try trawling a trolley. great results have allways come off it.

Cheers, Dave

anyway if u want rattlin rapalas, try cabelas. will cost you a bit for postage and handling. but if u buy about 4 of them it will still work out cheaper then jackals or team daiwa vib's etc. www.cabelas.com

well mate the asian brands are just cheap shit not worth it,but for a biginer urself i think u shuld start off with the young kids brands instead of wasting money on exspensive brands yet unlike me im spending up to 35 bux a lure my most exspensive is 45 dollars and is a yellow nd green and orange one.very use full for catching big sharks
