Can anyone here supply me with any information about Lake Kurwongbah?
I've done a bit of searching on here but not much has been said about the place. Is there any fish or even redclaw in there?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks

Lake Kurwongbah has a lot of bass ove the 50cm mark the only trouble is there is next to nil water at the present approx 32percent. Redclaw are also in abundence can be caught anywhere off the shore line best at night for these.

Can you put a boat in there? I have a 10ft punt with an electric motor. Im pretty sure I will require some sort of permit to put a boat in.

Don't think you can use a boat there. but i guess you could ask? I have caught redclaw and shrimp in there at night and scared away a LOT of talaipa. there is a good rock wall that runs out along one edge of the dam opisite the pumping station on Dabora rd (sorry bout spelling :-/) that should be a good land based spot to get a nice bass:)
cheers
Brandon.

You can put a boat in there, as there used to be a ski club.
Also the rowing club uses a tinnie to track the rowers.
The wall / Spill way has a lot of junk below it that is a good hang out for fish etc.
Don't try the pumping station area as it is a restricted zone.
Some of the best fishing is done on the other side of the lake, near the old Lakeside raceway. Also try the area around the old ski hut etc.
I lived there for 16years and as a kid used to catch eels and turtles around the spill way everytime it over flowed.
