Great photos of all the facilities, thanks for sharing with us all.
(Just add water and a few of the big fish that could have been saved from Waruma and what a fishery.
Perhaps with the talk of extracting a few of the big ones from Monduran, wouldn't it be better to take them to Paradise instead of using them for food.)?
Just thinking out loud.
The facilities look first rate.
Awoonga could sure learn a lot from the parking facilities for boats. Hope GAWB is taking notice.
Who is in control of the dam and the facilities. What fish stocking is in place and what group. That way people can utilise the Sip to support a new impoundment.
The obvious questions are what is the capacity ( checked and found out 300,000 megalitres when full but at 30% capacity at moment) and what fish species are native and what will be stocked if any.

Stocking.... lots of debate about this.... Lung Fish....Fitzy will know more....Just a funny story about one of the meetings that was held about fish stocking....All the so called experts where there....One wag got up and said that he knew something about Lung fish that nobody in the room knew.. One so called expert said how could that be.... he had studied the lung fish for twenty years and knew every thing about them...The wag said ... mate l know how they taste........ ;) ;)

Next time there is decent rain there will be fish in Paradise. The stocking groups upstream stock Barra, Bass, Golden Perch, Saratoga and occasionaly Silver Perch. The Bass and Barra tend to bolt downstream when they get a good flow so should be good start for the Paradise Dam.

Looking forward to the first fishing reports from the dam.
Should be interesting to see what is available and how long it will take to fire.
Another dam a bit closer for us southerners to come up to for the barra and bass combination.
What is the nearest caravan park/camping facilities and what are they like. Quality, distance and management?

it really looks as though this dam is built with a lot more cosideration to recreation and stock conservation (re. fish ladder) maybe they wont let this one get to 1%. Looks like they realise we bring a lot to the local economy as well.
not much sport in netting floating fish

G-day Trev, I think I read somewhere that they have been stocking barra & yella`s into the river upstream of Paradise Dam for years. So maybe there is a few fish already in there.
