50 is a rare fish at Hinze, have not got that big myself, 48 is my best. Have heard of over 50's from time to time.

Hey Feral,
The biggest one before that one i caught on sunday has been 45cm and most of them being around 36cm to 42cm any smaller we through back anyway. When i pulled this one up i knew it was slightly larger than what we were catching that day but when landed in the boat i could not beleive it straight to the tape measure. I was stoked. My mates and i go there quite often and that is the biggest we have seen from us or anyone else.
We go the somerset as well and we have seen one there 56cm.

All the years my mates and i have only caught 1 or 2 yella's but a few silver perch. I caught this big bass down the southern end past the second water pumping tower. Where did you catch yours munchi ? and also Baits or lures.

She is going to be an even better fishing place when they raise the wall i reckon. The old jackalls work well there don't they.
My mates and i are going out there early sunday morning for a fish, were out there last sunday and the surface action has started up again, (love that surface action) saw a bit of splashing and 3 hits and a looker but failed to land one, going to give it another go this week, this time thinking of using the west boat ramp and head down towards Ian's island. Your thoughts.
