Hi there

I was wondering if anybody has had launched a boat this year or since the dam levels have been low to go out fishing. I'm not a fishing person actually but a reserach student. :-/ I need to find some suitable sites to launch a tinny.

I was thinking of the Grand Wivenhoe Social fishing club boat ramp (is there one and is still in the waters) near Sinnamon point. I need to go out and take some water samples from near the Esk water intake tower.

Looking forward to everybodys suggestions!! :)

Thanks

Has anyone got any updates on the boating access at the main boat ramp. I stopped in there several months back and you would've had trouble launching with a 4 wheel drive. I'm hoping that SEQWater have spent some of our boating fees on upgrading the ramp for the low water access.

The main boat ramp at logans inlet is closed, there is now a temporary ramp made from compacted gravel. It can be accessed by following the road to the old ramp as normal, but just before you get there, there is a track leading down to the water. IT's signed and marked out pretty good. Dont have a boat myself as yet, so i dont know what its like for launching.
