For a while now I have had “smooth drag washers” installed in my abu’s and without a doubt they have improved the drag a lot….It’s now as smooth as a babies bum from freespool to lockup……. ;D
Just wondering if anyone else has changed over to the Smoothies and what do you think of the performance they offer….?

Hi Poonboy,
Haven't tried out those U Beaut Erskine Drag Washers yet. Gotta get a set & give em a blast. Should get the porn star to bring some down with him when he comes for my 6000, 5000 & 4600. Have had the pliers onto the 5000 drag when in some thick country trying to turn big fish in a hurry.

Steve,
do you know if you can get the "smooth drag washers" for calcuttas. Mine are just about shot. Not a good time of the year for the old drag to be playing tricks.

Got a set for my 5600 Gunnar. Best Abu drag I have tried. Pity you have to buy after market with Abus to get it right. Got mine from Mullet Gut Marine.

Can vouce for them as everyone else here.
Just got some for dad's Cal 400 and slipped them into my ABU's (4601 + 6501).
Both 'stock' washers were nothing less than shocking, but these are what drags are supposed to be - smooth as you like!
Cheers, Slates
Getting some sent down from north right at the moment for the Abu.Can't wait to get them in action. ;D
