Battery life

http://www.ausfish.com.au/chat/images/smilies/cwm25.gif Hi Guys...I own an eagle GPS and was wondering if its possible to reinstall the lithium battery in this unit after the so called 10 years are up.....They say the units are sealed water tight....any info gratefully accepted
