marinetek supermax

Hi , are any of you guys out there using a Marinetex supermax (dual range 200 + 50 meg sounder) with a single range transducer (200 meg)

just interested as I am doing this and getting no where near the performance from my old standard 200 meg maxim and a standard tranducer than what i get from the above set up.

Is your's a Seamax or Supermax?
I just sold my boat with a Marinetek Seamax on it and found it to be a very good unit. I did have to get a software upgrade but my dad has the Furuno 668 and mine performed as well as it. My only complant was that the smallest range was 0-25 ft so for shallow work it was a bit wanting.
