My Abu 6500c has finally packed it in and was looking at replacing it with a calcutta 400 what do you all think? ???
Will transfer 20 lb braid from abu.
Thanks in advance. ::)

I've got 1 and its a reel that doesn't suit much perfectly if ya know what i mean, wimpy drag bit uncomfortable as a casting reel, not that there is anything wrong its just its not a baitcaster not a light game reel, bit of a waste of money really but each to their own hey. Rob

Hey Grizz,
also have a look at the trinidad TN 16.
A bit more cash than the calautta, but will last forever.
Good luck,
Dudley
Grizz, Iv'e got a 6500 and two Calcutta 400's. The calcutta has a much better feel, due to the diecast chassis, than the 6500. It's easier to cast 'cause of the thumb release and overall far more comfortable. The drags can be modified for more durability. I use mine as a general boat reel and for casting chrome lures etc of the beach/rocks.
I love it.
